Guiding At Hill of Tarvit.

Saturday is an unusual day for Pat and I to be at the Mansionhouse.

The weather is showery although some of the showers are so strong that the roof gutters (rhones) are unable to cope and water cascades over the edges.

Visitors arrive between the showers and show great interest in various aspects of the collection. People from Holland and the Netherlands are very interested in the Dutch paintings of which there are many.

Pat loaned one couple her reference book on the paintings and they returned it four hours later full of enthusiasm about the collection.

It has been full on day which is great for us

Todays entry shows the view of the Dining Room from the Guide’ seat. A rather fine spider back chair with a red leather cushion.

The painting in the thumbnail is of Peg Woffington (or Kitty Clive) by Joseph Highmore.

Peg’s eye ‘follow’ you around the room.
