View of the valley from Gotschnaboden

This morning we both had some phone calls and admin to attend to, so we left later for our walk than planned. Of course we first stopped off at our favourite cafe in the village for a coffee before getting the gondola to the halfway station up Gotschna mountain. This is the view of the valley below and the village from up there.

We did a very pleasant walk down to Wolfgang, (Davos) which is the other side of the mountain. It was a good walk as it was not too steep coming down as we chose a meandering route which was longer, but kinder on the knees. We had a light salad at the Kulm Hotel at Wolfgang for lunch before walking back down to the village, stopping off to take photos and Gavin also took some drone footage. It was a very pleasant day, warm and sunny but not too hot for our walk. We got back to the apartment at about 4.30pm, so it was a good all day outing today. After a rest and a cup of tea we went over the road to the golf course where we hit a bucket of balls at the driving range.

The extra was taken yesterday evening. The farmer had spent the afternoon cutting the grass, at this time of year it is busy for the farmers and the entire family get involved in cutting, baling and raking. I liked the patterns made by the cut grass. Today this grass was baled up into silage bundles for the winter. The green areas are part of the golf course.

It has been a lovely day and a very active one, about 22,000 steps done today.
