Heavy showers

We experienced some heavy thundery showers around lunchtime, only just avoiding a drenching by arriving home just before the heavens opened for 15 minutes of torrential rain. This was quite a benign shower earlier in the day.

Our plans for the afternoon were disrupted by the non arrival of a surveyor to assess our roof for solar panels. Instead of going to the allotment we spent the afternoon setting up the automatic watering system.

Despite having a hosepipe ban automatic watering systems can be used as long as a pressure reducer is fitted. Which is what I did today along with matching up pots to tubes. All good fun.
