Drop O’the Hard Stuff

The Marmite Ukulele Band has undergone a name change. We debuted as the Drop O’the Hard Stuff at a fundraising gig for a local church this afternoon. My that wind was gusty at times we thought the gazebo was in danger and it was a challenge to keep the music in place.

Complete with emerald green tops, neatly embroidered with the band’s logo we perform a set of rock and roll and Irish songs to an audience of about….. 12

The hosts were expecting 34 people for lunch, 15 didn’t turn up (which was pretty bad considering all the food a drink that had been bought) and some went as soon as they had lunch. The die hards - or the deaf- stayed to hear our set. I think they enjoyed it. We did.

And as our “fee” we all had a Sunday roast dinner with a choice of puddings!
