Hit by a shaft of sunlight

Stopped at Western Springs for a walk by the lake. It remains very full, and the grassed areas are soggy and at times muddy. I found a good place to observe a couple of shags. There was a little black shag (Kawau tui) tucked away, and a couple of little (pied) shags (Kawau paka). This one of the latter almost ready for a short flight to an alternative roost.

I had earlier got a shot of a Putangitangi pair (Paradise shelducks) which I would have posted as an extra only I can't work out how to do that in the new system I have.
