Tansy ( Tanacetum vulgare )

We were heading home today but as there was a Wild Flower walk at the Water of Leith Visitors Centre we decided to delay until late afternoon.  We went along with Kat and joined the group.  The walk was led by Kat's boss as well as a qualified herbalist who is also a natural dyer.

Clickychick and I wandered along at the back of the group because we obviously wanted photographs without holding others up.  I was familiar with the majority of the flowers, but the herbal information, folklore and details of what colours they dyed was fascinating.
