A Day In The Life

Sleepy

Our yard seems full of fledglings and juveniles right now. From squirrels to cardinals, plus bluejays, titmice, and like this one, black-capped chickadees • When I fill feeders four young chickadees often fly in to watch. They’re always together, unusually friendly and draw in close to observe what I’m doing. All chirp with excitement as their favorite feeder is removed from its hook and filled with their favorite seed/nut blend • Like children they tire easily too, as you can see in this photo. This cutie grabbed a few minutes of shuteye before joining the others • It’s been a pleasant summer day, warm but less humid than it has been. I mowed the lawn and weed whacked, plus watered the veggie garden and potted plants • Peace & Love
