A Day In The Life

Happy Dance

The sound of rain yesterday evening was just delightful in every way, and it continued pouring down past our bedtime. It’s been so dry that even with a good soaking the plants didn’t look refreshed or invigorated at all this morning. Hopefully more rain will fall again soon • Today through the weekend will be scorching hot and humid here. I read that parts of the UK are over 100F today. How awful! May we all feel some relief soon • The rain beat down most of the bee balm so I took a photo of the only section that’s upright. MrsP calls it the Dr. Seuss plant, whereas I see it more Muppet-like, ie Beaker and his wild hair :) • We harvested numerous zucchini, yellow squash and cucumbers today, and will add fresh cilantro to our black beans, rice and avocado dish tonight • With rain as number one, the second best news of the day is my first sighting of a great golden digger wasp this summer, a friendly favorite pollinator and visitor of milkweed • Peace & Love, blip friends!
