Wound up in Wexford

Rain clouds

W had a trip to the doctor's this morning, for a blood test.  He hadn't been told to refrain from eating, but as it was for his cholesterol level, he decided to starve.

After he'd returned and had his belated breakfast, we drove into Wexford.  Tesco's website said they did replacement sodastream cylinders, so we went there first.  Don't stock them, and never have, we were told.

Instead, we had to go into the town centre, where McCauley's pharmacy does stock them.  That involved parking, and walking past the junk shop we visited yesterday, so we just had to get the plant stand.

Then on to Castlebridge, where we visited a couple of secondhand furniture shops, one of them really large.  No purchases, but seeing the prices, reassured me that we had not paid too much for the plant stand.

By this time, my gluts were ready for a rest, and my stomach was ready for a snack.  We found a snack bar/coffee shack in the corner of the car park, and sat outside to eat a toasted sandwich.  Fortunately we had finished eating by the time these clouds actually dropped rain on us - we retreated into the car to finish our drinks.

Whilst we were eating, W had asked me if there was anything else I wanted to do - "just get a photo" was my response.  When the clouds came over, I got a photo from my seat.

Castlebridge looks a lovely little village/small town - it advertises itself as "home of The Guinness Book of World Records" - with a pretty bridge and a watermill - but weather and gluteal muscles precluded a walk round today.  Never mind - it'll still be there another day.
