Hyacinth

The Resident Gardener planted hyacinths in pots some years ago and it's always a joy to see them pop up midwinter, along with the jonquils and snow drops. I love the heady scent of hyacinths and the arrangement of the flowers all around the stem.

This hyacinth is different. Today I discovered it growing in the ground, amongst the parsley and the deadening mint, and nowhere near its relatives in their pots. Usually the Resident Gardener surprises me by what's growing in the garden, but today the glove was on the other hand.

Thanks for hosting BikerBear. A happy weekend to all.
