Stuff and Nonsense

Marguerites

Had to get my niece to Liverpool airport this morning for 7.45am, which proved a bit of a challenge as she was still not up by 7.10 and we live 25 minutes away. To say it was a rush is an understatement, but we were only a few minutes late.

Met my old schoolfriends for brunch later in the morning and we swapped stories about holidays as most of us have been away recently.

This afternoon I have spent in the garden on and off as the rest of the weekend is going to be wet and there is so much to do. We harvested the other two bins of Anya potatoes and now think we have enough to last us until Christmas!
In between gardening tasks I have been watching the Open and the Cricket, both of which have been quite exciting. Such a shame about Jonny Bairstow not getting his century after Jimmy Anderson managed to get out when he was on 99. Hopefully the weather won't spoil what has been a great match so far, to set up what will be a decider for the Ashes next week.

Just a quick blip from the garden - the marguerites were looking lovely when the sun came out briefly earlier.
