Prize

Last Thursday, AW played bridge with Beau at the clubhouse nearby (Beau also lives nearby) and they ended up in 2nd place, for which they got a bottle of wine.  There is one thing about bridge tournaments -- finishing at the top spot does not necessarily lead to a prize.  Sometimes, it's the seventh place that goes home with something, or the third place.  Anyway, last Thursday, it was the second, fourth, and sixth places.  It's just a fun evening where players don't have to murder for the top spot.  I like it like that -- it's always a surprise and you know you have a chance at the box of fresh strawberries or bottle of wine, whatever spot you end up on.

A slow day filled with genealogy work and kitchen duties, and some gaming.  Thankful for slow days that ease the pressure of unemployment.
