Staying Alive!

This sculpture, one of many from the Niobe room in the Uffizzi today, all crouched in a defensive pose as they were killed by a mass of flying arrows.

This lad, in my opinion, was adopting the Bee Gees Staying Alive pose. It didn't help, poor lad.

The Uffizzi was so very busy and not all rooms kept what my archivist daughter would consider a reasonable temperature.

Outside hit a sweltering 35 degrees. We left early morning to visit the Bobolli gardens. They were burnt! They did however have more shape than the Vienna gardens.

Retreat to eat ice cream, drink beer and water for hydration, more water than beer and dip into the shaded cold plunge pool. My attempt at Staying Alive!
