Third time lucky ... the show tonight took place in the amphitheatre. I was sure it would be moved indoors as high wind was forecast for this evening, and it wasn't wrong -- it was a bit on the chilly side. It was better attended than I would have expected given the conditions. The Niyireth Alarcón trio is from Colombia -- it's not the sort of music that would normally appeal to me, but she has a lovely voice. Quite a few people giggled when she introduced her tiple player, who is called Victor Hugo (extra). It was gratifying to understand most of the lyrics too.  Have a listen here.

To our great surprise it had rained heavily when we woke this morning, and the heavy grey clouds looked menacing. I went swimming anyway and not surprisingly had the pool to myself. The water was pleasantly warm in comparison to the air, but of course it's a different matter when you get out.

We stayed up late for the Spanish election results last night. We were initially glum about the PP doing better than we expected, till we realised that far-right Vox had lost a third of their seats, so no majority coalition for them. Serves them right for their obnoxious campaign. Complicated for Sanchez to form a coalition too, thanks to uncooperative Catalans, but he gets to stay in place while he tries. So overall it's a better result than was being predicted last week.
