One daze at a time...

One very large birthday candle to blow

Ever since the kids helped with the trimming of Nana's bush (the one in front of the house) the last time we were around, they've been reminding her of her promise to burn all the branches and twigs "when they are dry, on Dad's birthday".
The birthday came, I had my reservations about the dryness of the trimmings though.
But miracle of miracles, it did not rain today.
And the fire caught pretty rapidly indeed.
And sausages were cremated for the young ones' delight.
And merguez and lamb chops were more carefully barbecued for the older ones' delight.

A good day all in all.

Except for the rabbits in Shraigh.

The birthday SP (next year you get the other half)
