If I keep really really still.....

...perhaps they'll think I'm a leaf.

Easy to see how these very colourful birds can disappear into the foliage, especially at this time of year. This is an Adelaide Rosella (blipped before), and they are getting a little braver now that food is getting scarce.

When I put seed into the feeder there is an influx of birds within seconds.

The pecking order is interesting. It's always the Rainbow Lorikeets first, following by the Rosellas, followed by the Crested pigeons, and finally the doves. If the magpies are really desperate they will eat the seed, but even they can't dislodge the Rainbows.
