Oh No!

Drama this morning in our garden….a sparrowhawk (female, I think) was eating another bird! 

I managed to get a few shots through the kitchen window..luckily in this one it was looking pretty much straight at me. It did spend a long time consuming the prey.

Afterwards, I went out look at the remains…nothing left except a pile of feathers and a beak.

I suspect that the poor victim was a juvenile blackbird…
