Ferrari Safari

What a day! This isn’t the best picture , but the best from my phone. Limited WiFi means few opportunities to upload the ones from my camera.

Anyway: this morning’s highlights included the elephants. Spotted first in the bush, and later playing in the river right by the lodge. What a privilege to watch. Also, African fish eagle, and pictured here, a 2,000 year old baobab tree.

This afternoon, spotted a very shy leopard (only saw it’s glowing eyes in the dark), a one week old giraffe and family, and a family trio of rhinos. When our guide got word of the rhino spotting, he said, “hold on, we’re going on a Ferrari Safari and speed off. So worth it! Ended the day with a South African BBQ and malva pudding (my 5th since being in the country, so delicious)
