Not Best Friends But...

The first Foto of both cats together. Munni left, Moot right. It would have been great if they'd been facing the camera and cheek-to-cheek but I'll take what I'm given.

They don't fight (which is lovely) but they don't play together either. I'm sure that'll come next week when I'm at work and G isn't here. I expect to come home to all sorts of chaos and hopefully, blissed out cats.

Oh and a little edit. The film from yesterday was "Some Like It Hot", the German title is almost a 1:1 translation with "Manche mögen's heiß".

A packed day. Full of work things - including one extraordinary 2 hour meeting that I've never experienced in a work setting before.

One of our colleagues is retiring and as part of his send-off there is going to be a party. We had a 2 hour meeting to plan our part of the party. Which turned into a brainstorming session for a song that we* will sing in his honour. Full of clever word play and poking a little fun at his habits, I was amazed by how much laughter and creativity this let loose**.

My colleagues and my team-leader absolutely astonished me with that. I can't imagine that happening at my old employer. I think that's one of the big differences here - here they actually value his 39 years service and yes, it is worth a couple of hours of our time.

*I say "we" but as someone who couldn't carry a tune in a bucket, I will be doing my best Milli Vanilliversion of the song.

** The laughter and creativity came from my colleagues, I'm not good enough with the language to do anything remotely creative or funny with it.
