First Monarch

All summer I have been disturbed that I have hardly seen any butterflies.  A few days ago we had a single swallowtail in the garden but up until then I had not seen any and only saw a few at the sunflower fields.  

Today I saw my first monarch fluttering around the milkweed.  It was the worst time of day for photos, but I thought it was worth marking this occasion anyway.
