At Versailles

Before we went to explore the city,we saw a lot of queuing up happening in front of the chateau. We didn't hesitate. I put myself in a queue and Bert walked forward to the entrance. At the same time, we found out that the palace gardens were indeed open to visitors. The chateau itself, however, was completely sold out. That's why it wasn't listed as 'open' on the website.
Hurrah! We went inside and therefore experienced half of the Chateau Versailles experience. A beautiful garden with a lot of boxwood hedges without the well-known boxwood moth. Many flowers that we also have ourselves and many photos taken because I might want to add the flowers we don't have but liked to our garden.

The market was already clearing and cleaning when we arrived. It didn't matter. It was not a very big market surrounded by beautiful arcades. At the back of the arcades was a wide choice of terraces.

We went into a second-hand bookshop, because the public bookcases are of course not in a city. I've bought Le jeune homme by Annie Ernaux.
Yes, it's thin, in case you wonder, I'll have to carry it along.
