From Versailles to Fontainebleau

In our village they would call this strong wind storm. I called it today alternately 'annoying wind' and then again 'nice wind', depending on which direction we cycled, because following the Seine again we also meandered eastwards or westwards.
The strong wind caused branches to break and even a fallen tree. The fallen tree lay across the far too narrow muddy path along the Seine. I didn't think it was a disaster to turn around in search of an asphalted alternative. We've found it in a very busy Route Départementale.

At the end of the bike ride we parked our bikes in the gate of Chateau Fontainebleau. Another highlight to visit. We already purchased the entrance tickets yesterday to avoid standing in front of a closed door.
