Lavender buds...

I kept on checking the sky today, not quite believing it wasn't going to rain. Risked putting the washing outside to dry (and it did dry) and also went out for a long walk (and it didn't rain).

I finished reading "The Promise" by the South African author Damon Galgut. I thought it was a worthy Booker Prize winner. It is well written and full of dark humour which adds the required balance to the violent undercurrents of corruption and family disintegration.
