Up close and personal

Many thanks for all the stars and hearts that are still coming in for my red kite picture, much appreciated.

We walked around the wood this morning after a long chat with a couple from just up the road, who were out walking their working cocker Spaniel, and  we got a little bit wet as we headed for home.  No sign of the heron, fortunately, although last night I did dream that both the heron and red kite had taken over the garden.

A few plants ripped out of the garden this afternoon and JJ is over the back clearing huge bramble runners from the public footpath.

This ladybird was sleeping just inside the lid of the green bin, so photographed it and then moved it.  It really does look quite ferocious.
