Holding Tight

We are in a noise zone. The people to the left are working on their garage: pulling nails that shriek and lots of sawing and pounding. This project seems finite. The folks across the street are mowing and blowing, also finite. Ah, and the people on the right are jackhammering an enormous amount of concrete wall and patio. First they have to break it into small chunks, then they drive a little tractor into the yard and fill up the scoop, drive the tractor down the driveway to the street and dump the concrete into a big metal trailer. Repeat. Repeat. And repeat. There is a lot of concrete. This is in preparation for building a cottage against the back fence. One of our cats is in hiding, and I am about to join her. This project is going to go on forever.
