Gatekeeper on the Knapweed

It didn't rain today!
In the garden there were plenty of  Gatekeeper butterflies, bees and other insects busily feeding on flowers, especially  the lavender and, as shown  here, Knapweed. (I grow the  Knapweed especially  to attract  butterflies.)
Stormin' Norman, the tortoise, enjoyed a roam about on the lawn, picking off the White Clover  flowers.
In the afternoon, Martin and I went blackberry picking. I can not resist these free gifts! There were plenty of ripe blackberries, and we returned  with 7lb of the juicy, but fast spoiling, fruit, which we had to process immediately. Some have been frozen, but the majority were boiled  in water, and strained to  make jelly tomorrow.
