East coast

Mr hazelh and I have enjoyed a wonderful sunny day east of Edinburgh on the coast. Our main mission was to look at some of the rock formations that James Hutton pointed to as confirmation that geological features of the landscape change over time, and that the earth is much older than previously believed.

We had a picnic, played on a beach, and walked along the cliffs. From now on travelling up and down the LNER route, we will remind ourselves of this day whenever we see the sites of our fun from the train carriage window.

It looks like there will be better weather this week, at long last. We plan to make the most of it.

Exercise today: walking (15,379 steps).
