Small copper

I was delighted to spot two bright little Small Copper butterflies sitting on the path in the wildflower meadow today! We usually see a few in the garden, though never enough to exactly call a population.
They are tricky to photograph with a phone as they don’t like you getting too close.
And a lovely late video call from Gilly, celebrating her 35th birthday and opening her presents after a busy day and a meal out. Happy birthday Gilly xxx
