Autumnal in August

This long tailed tit is definitely the early bird, and looking very autumnal with all those spider webs.  

By 10am it had just started to rain here, and it looks as though it has set in and will rain most of the day now.  Inevitably this afternoon is one of those rare occasions, arranged with old friends ages ago, when I get to dig out the golf clubs from wherever they've been hiding in the garage and go and join them on a golf course to look for the balls that we've just lost - in the wet.  I do so love playing golf in the rain ...
