Party Time

The Big Party Day Is Today.

The food centre piece is the main entry. A delicious Salmon prepared by Pat 2.
I am in charge of purchasing the strawberries for a Palova and helping with the arrangements of chairs and tables. There are seven ‘chefs’ working in the kitchen under Pat’s direction. All are family members or friends.

The extra of the piper is Dan Lean who is playing a medley of suitable Scottish Songs for the occasion.

The second extra shows a view of the guests from the west balcony. The age range is from 11 to 84!  Many are artists in various disciplines and have appeared in these entries.

Everyone is getting along well. The atmosphere is a convivial one.

As some of my followers may know I have been involved with motor sport, particularly rallying since the 70s.

Amongst the group is Donald H, a ‘superstar’ from the 70s and 80s. Donald and I have been friends for nearly 50 years. Pat and I designed his current home. We have enjoyed many gatherings there including his parties.

A friend from the north sat down beside Donald and starting chatting. When Stewart (friend from the north) realised who he was talking to, he leapt to his feet and said that he was a great fan when he was a teenager and 20 something.

I found him in the ‘Rabbit Run’ phoning his friend and excitedly telling him that he had met Donald H. Exciting times for him.

No one was inebriated. No one got into an argument and nobody knocked anything over.

The California Golden Girls enjoyed themselves immensely.
