The blue blobs

It's a work day today and it means a long day.  I did a quick trip out after I finished to blip these blue blobs on the harbour foreshore near the old Maritime museum.  It was built in 1910 and used as a cargo shed at what once used to be the Lee Wharf precinct.  After the second World War, Australia had a wave of European immigrants and many of the ships carrying the immigrants landed at the Lee Wharf.  The building used to have a welcome wall with the names of the immigrants who arrived there but when the museum closed, it was put into storage.  It's a shame about that and I hope that it finds a place somewhere as it is all part of the towns history.  The lease of the building has been taken up by the Hope Estate and is going to be used as a showroom and wine tasting venue.  It's a great spot for it.

The blue blob sculptures were installed many years ago and I have no information on them.  They are an odd number and will fit Bobs theme.  Thanks for hosting Bob.
