From Verdun to Sedan

The sunflowers on my blip today hang their heads heavy.  It's sad weather.  This afternoon they will certainly have looked happier, because this afternoon the sun was shining brightly.

There were still quite a few hills to cycle over, because the Meuse valley sometimes offers no possibility for roads along a river or canal.
There is a 150 kilometers long voie verte from Mouzon to Givet along the Meuse which we want to follow.

We cycled far. It eventually became wonderful cycling weather and the campsite where we wanted to spend the night turned out for Camping Cars only. The one here in Sedan is now only for Camping Cars. We are forced to take a second night with our original booking.
Ha, without kidding, I have no objection. We want to browse around in Sedan because we have discovered that Bert's ancestors come from somewhere in the mid-1600s. We sleep in the chateau that was already there in 1600. I am very curious what else we will find tomorrow.
