Woodchester Valley

It was a misty, autumnal morning this morning at the Woodchester Valley vineyards and winery in the Cotswolds.  We came here yesterday for a tour of the place, accompanied by wine tasting.  It was a very enjoyable afternoon.  We stayed overnight in the excellent suites they have on site, with dinner delivered to our door and a generous breakfast hamper for this morning.

We awoke to the view in this blip - relatively recently planted vines (which will not produce fruit for another couple of years) set against a heavy mist in the valley.  The other mature vines on the estate are used to produce award winning still and sparkling wines.

Not surprisingly we left this morning with a box of wine to enjoy at home.
