Phlox subulata

Been another summery day, and crossed a few things off my to do list. Weeding the front garden isn't one of the things I've crossed off, but I have spent a few minutes looking at the HUGE tadpoles, and looking for the newts. The newts were all hiding this evening, but I did get chance to take a few photos of all the bits I have flowering in the front and a few seed heads too. Today's blip ended up being a choice between a seed head from the Ranunculus in the pond ( where we have at least 4 newts) but as I featured buttercups yesterday ( a close relative) I decided to go for this wonderfully colourful Phlox subulata .
