Lesson learned

II hung sheets and pillowcases out on the line this morning and when I went out late this afternoon to bring it in one of the sheets had bird poop on it.  MrMacD said well what do you expect when there are tree branches above the line?  It never occurred to me!  I won’t fall into that trap again and MrMacD has said he’ll trim the branches back. 

I spent an hour this morning checking prices online then went out shopping this afternoon to buy items for the bed in the third bedroom.  My research this morning paid off and our shopping was successful.

Tonight we’ve been watching the Sweden vs Japan quarter final in the FIFA World Cup.  Japan came to life in the second half but were unable to catch up.  The final score was 2-1 to Sweden after ten minutes of extra time.  Very exciting!  Now Sweden faces Spain in the Semi Finals.

There is a row of oak trees along the main road into the Oamaru Town Centre, each with a cross in front.  We checked them out as we walked by.  The Memorial Oaks were planted to commemorate the soldiers who fell in the Great War.  The blip shows just one of the many crosses.
