A free day

For the first time in a very long time we had a free day, which was wonderful.  Hubby went off to buy some plants and do a little bit of shopping, while I pottered around with household tasks and decluttering the storage cupboard in the hall. After lunch hubby got out in the  garden and I made some ricotta cheese and attempted to make some pasta dough for ravioli, which I made a right mess of.  Hubby, though, being the lovely person that he is, gamely ate the resulting ravioli, although he did tease me mercilessly.  I’ll have another try tomorrow and hopefully this time I’ll get it right.

It was a glorious sunny day but tonight the temperature is dropping to 3C.

The geraniums in their red pots looked very cheerful in the sunshine on the balcony.
