Sort of sunny

Today’s forecast started out as a high of 13C with possible showers.  The showers didn’t eventuate and whilst driving the car’s thermometer showed 15C outside. Tonight it will drop down to 5C.

We had a fun morning changing the furniture around in the living room, which we completed this afternoon after a quick lunch with my daughter followed by finishing off delivery of the Meadowbank brochures.  Another job done!  With a few simple changes we’ve opened up the living room, making it look and feel much more spacious.  Wonderful!

There was a new piece of art at LaLa Café where we had lunch, so that features in the blip, as does a beautiful magnolia tree and a rather interesting succulent.

There are 5,169 new community cases today, and the seven-day rolling average is 4,938 compared to 6,355 last Wednesday. The number of people in hospital is 599, including 11 in ICU. The seven-day rolling average increase in total deaths attributable to Covid-19 is 15, and 1,705 deaths have been confirmed as either directly attributed to Covid, or with Covid as a contributing factor.
