The mundane

It was the warmest day in Scotland so far but but by the time I went to bed my feet were cold. So with my husband away, I had no choice but to make a hot water bottle. The other accompaniments are a cup of tea, a little bit of chocolate and a book.

I can sleep no bother after a cup of tea (and it is strong tea) but I cannot get to sleep if my feet are cold! I do like sitting in bed with a cup of tea and a book.......one of life's great but simple pleasures.
