Girls on tour

Up early and ready for off. There was some debate about which teddies/soft toys could be taken. Eda wasn’t very happy that Lucky here was a No as he would have needed his own seat on the plane! They each had their own bag, Eda a new back pack and Jude a drawstring bag that was too heavy for her to carry and each had a mermaid sticking out!

After they left to pick up Granny Sue we had the thrill of a supermarket shop. Something I rarely do. I was surprised it was so quiet on a Saturday morning and we were soon stocked up for a couple of days. We went in the cafe and had a coffee and croissant before returning up the hill.

Chris has rebuilt the storage unit Grace asked us to collect a few weeks ago and we decided it would have to be dismantled to get it in the car with Eda, us and all her and our luggage.

I popped out at 12.30 to listen out for ‘their’ plane flying over. I heard 3 over a period of 15 minutes but couldn't see any because of the clouds. Got chatting to J, next door and ended up doing a bit of weeding in the veg bed. She was doing the same but we both had to give up as it came on to rain.

They should be there now.

A bit of a down day after the activity of last week and yesterday’s long journey, I confess I nodded off after lunch and woke up to the Rugby League Challenge Cup final. Looks like it’s going to be a Lancashire win.
Hull KR have drawn so who knows? No, Leigh have won but what a game !
