Leaderfoot Viaduct

August's 2nd Saturday Strollers walk today - was thankfully a bit more leisurely, following yesterday's Cairngorms-epic!

We caught the train down to Tweedbank; walked along the River Tweed past Melrose; onto Newstead and the Trimontium site; before arriving at the Leaderfoot Viaduct (as pictured).

We turned round at the viaduct, and went back along a section of the Borders Abbey Way into Melrose, for some coffee&cake; prior to returning to Tweedbank along the river; with a quick visit to the Tempest-brewery; all before catching the train back to Edinburgh :-)

A most enjoyable day.
