Not Again!

Yes, I have another food Blip. 

Yes, it is cold soup again. 

But... it is purple this time. It is my annual making of Lithuanian šaltibarščiai. Kefir, beetroot, cucumber, hard boiled eggs and spring onion. What could be better on a warm August evening?

And there's a thing. I looked at my iPhone weather app a few times this afternoon, and it told me the weather was cloudy. It was not. It was sunny and warm.

Had I known to expect that I would have spent less time on cleaning the house and more time on gardening. 

Oh, the tradition is to serve the soup with hot, new potatoes but on a separate plate so that they do not warm up the soup. 

Apart from the kefir all the ingredients are local.
