Book festival books

Had a dry morning to go over to the Book Festival. No events I wanted to see, and no big screen to give a flavour of an event, as there was last year. Book signing tent, bookshop, and places for sitting and eating.

Found a no 35 bus, which took me down the High Street to Dunbar's Close,  a very old garden which I hadn't known was there, nicely planted with daisies and agapanthus flowering. Back by Calton Road. Warm out, 22C and very little wind.

Out again later to listen to Brahms and Bach at St Andrew's and St George's West, on George St. Anne-Isabel Meyer (cello) and Julian Jacobson (piano). About 40 people in the audience. Not as adventurous as the Royal Overseas League programming from last week.
