Back Blip

Another Sunday afternoon trip into Glasgow - this time to see the UCI World Championship Elite Women's Road Race as they lapped the streets of the city centre. I started off in one location, but happily just moved around and stopped for a while in another, taking in the action.

Just as with the Men's race last Sunday (at the time of writing I've still to post a photo of that) the strength and stamina of these athletes is amazing. For the casual observer, like me, who knows nothing about the intricacies and tactics of the sport, it was just great to experience the atmosphere and enjoy the colour and the sounds of world class sport.
