Advice

Up at close to normal work time today and into school before half seven ready for Y13 students coming to collect results from 8am. Some success to be celebrated but a lot of grades lower than expected and our experience of looking at grade boundaries is not quite what is being reported. My group did pretty much in line with expectation with just one maybe two disappointments which is pretty good going when their grade boundaries were set even more harshly than pre-pandemic. I was particularly pleased for the most hard-working member of the group who got her predicted grade and was pleased with her result.

Quite a lot of standing around, support offered to several and a few conversations with staff to try and fathom one or two things. And then some time to do some of my own work and a quick check on my classroom. Into town to return a couple of purchases and have a bit of a browse before a supermarket shop and then in to Bailey. I took advantage of the nice weather to cut the grass which has been encouraged  to grow by the weather we've had recently. I've also got a satisfyingly full green bin to put out tomorrow.
