Gotcha Day!

Yes, this lovely little mini panther has shared our home for nine years as of today. We don't know when his birthday was so we can't celebrate that (No-one knows... Except the heartless, worthless dickhead that dumped him and his siblings on the common in a bin-bag!) Fortunately they were rescued and raised by some animal loving people at the nearby riding stables, and all have gone to loving homes.

Minstrel is small, soft of fur and paw, and cute. His favourite things are cat-feeding time, starting with breakfast at 6 AM sharp, sleeping in cosy places, chirping at birds outside that he sees through the window, playing with toys, licking plastic(!), preventing his humans from looking at electronic devices and feeling the breeze on his fur through the door-grill in summer or lying in his radiator hammock in winter. He's not so keen on having flea-drops put on, other cats daring to step into "his" yard,  vet visits or being moved from places he should not be. Though he can be quite feisty at times he is not biting me in this shot - he is being hand fed a Gotcha Day cat-treat!

Otherwise today I have done some household tasks (including hoovering - something else Minstrel is not a fan of!), sorted and sent mail, spoken to the insurance company about my Dad's mobility scooter and been down to visit him.

He was in good spirits today, though still tired, breathless and weak. They made him a bacon butty for his tea - I think he was happy with that!

I went home via Boots to collect my medication - I saw my usual hair conditioner was actually in stock  and on offer so I bought some of that too.

There will be Rugby League on tonight - relegation dogfight between Wakefield and Castleford. Hopefully it will be a well contested close game...
