Light entertainment

No Clay

Swimming first (the pool is open again), then coffee at Fortitude to wait for opening time at the gallery, which is in the Fringe catalog as showing a Clay 2023 exhibition. No sign of anyone, no lights, firmly closed. Nice plants and pots outside.

Home, then out again to St. Andrew's & St. George's West.
Christine Hurley (cello), Nancy Crook (piano)
Beethoven: Variations  on the theme Bei Männern  (from The Magic Flute)
Beach:  Romance for Cello
Franck: Sonata for Cello and Piano

Nicely played .. though I'd like more introduction to set context, for the musical choices, composers, performers .. the music can stand by itself, but informal Fringe performances are improved by descriptive words.

A grey afternoon with an east wind, though 15C. Heavy rain in the night.
