Alium Starburst

Got home to a gorgeous evening in Glasgow and nipped out into the garden to get my blip for today as I hadn't even picked up my camera all day in Edinburgh.

There were a few possibilities tonight, but in the end I went for the Alium or Ornamental Onions. They are looking great just now in full bloom with big round balls of purple standing tall. However what caught my eye was all the individual flowers on the Alium rather than the whole thing. To me they look like a lot of little stars. Looks good large.
