Sunbeams

Today B, E and I travelled to Yarlington House for a few days' stay in a yurt.
It was nestled behind the outer brick wall of the vegetable garden in a very sheltered spot.  The main circular room was the living quarters with old faded oriental carpets on the floor and quirky furniture and old black and white French prints of aristocrats hanging  on the walls. Oh, there was a woodburner too and a double bed.  In another adjoining smaller circular module was a bedroom with twin beds and a table with a Roberts radio. Outside nearby was a tent for the shower room and a kitchen with table and chairs and further away a compost loo!
The photograph shows the ceiling in the little bedroom and the skylight. The roof was insulated with a woollen material.
It was lovely to be tucked away from the outside world.
