August Birthdays

These five all have birthdays in August, so Deb and Sam hosted a bash for them all in one go. Sam tried hard to light the five candles, but never got beyond one, as the wind wasn't playing fair. We'd waited for Eden to wake up from her nap for the cake, which is why she's not dressed yet here.

It was also a chance for more folk to meet each other before the wedding, two weeks today... Mike's brother and sister had never met either Felicity or Eden. Special times, with lots of emotions, especially remembering Mike's niece, Ruthie, who died in pregnancy, along with her little girl.

Extra of Zion and Allegra up a tree on our amble along the Newhall Valley, accompanied by three exuberant dogs.

Gratefuls:
- Deb and Sam for organising and hosting; the food was superb
- Ruth and Rick, Eve and Don for driving a long way to be here, not easy for either couple
- God, for a good family
