Grasmere reflections

May I start by thanking so many of you for your good wishes for Gails Mum, and your general messages of support - it proves that Blip is so much more than a website of photos. I'm sorry I wasn't able to respond to each comment individually, but things are a bit busy.

The good news, Daisy had an operation yesterday to mend the break (upper leg / hip area) and she seems to be making a good recovery. The worrying thing is this break probably occurred 3 weeks ago when she had a fall, and her nursing home did nothing about her discomfort / pain! So we're trying to get her relocated to a nursing home near us.

For once, the weather forecast from yesterday proved right, and we had very low winds today; started with an hour-long session at the side of Thirlmere, which remained calm for much of the time we were there. We then relocated to Grasmere. and were treated to a few hours of great reflections - topped to perfection when the sun came out.

I nearly blipped a few other shots, but eventually chose this one as I loved the way the fells in the background completely surrounded the island, framing it so well.

Gail's home, foods improved again ;)

Off to bed, totally knackered.
